Piriton Allergy Tablets provide fast relief from the symptoms of: Hayfever and other allergies e.g. pet, house dust mite and mould spore allergies; Nettle rash, hives, heat rash, prickly heat and dermatitis; Reactions to food, food additives, medicines and insect bites; Also relieves the itchy rash of chicken pox.
Adults: 1 tablet 4-6 hourly. Maximum 6 tablets in 24 hours. Children 6-12 years: half a tablet 4-6 hourly. Maximum 3 tablets in 24 hours. Not recommended under 6 years.
Tablet containing: Chlorphenamine maleate 4mg.
May cause drowsiness - if affected, do not drive or operate machinery. Do not use if MAOI medication is being taken, or if there is known hypersensitivity to antihistamines. Use with caution in epilepsy, glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, raised blood pressure or heart disease, bronchitis, asthma, liver disease or thyrotoxicosis. Use in pregnancy or lactation only on medical advice. Avoid alcoholic drink.
