Fenistil Cold Sore Cream is applied as early as possible at the first sign of a cold sore developing. Fenistil Cold Sore Cream speeds up healing, shortens the duration of pain and shortens the time the cold sore is infectious.
Adults and Children 12 years and over: Apply to the affected area at approximately 2 hour intervals throughout the day for 4 days.
Contains 1%w/w penciclovir.
Most people have no side effects. However, some people may get burning, stinging or numbness when the cream is applied. Some people have also reported allergic type reactions. If you experience any of these, stop using the cream and consult your doctor. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if: You are pregnant or breast feeding, You have a condition or are receiving treatment which weakens your immune system, Your cold sore is particularly severe, You are unsure if your cold sore is a cold sore. Do not use inside the mouth, in or near the eyes, or on genitals.
