The Power of Oatmeal Naturally active colloidal oatmeal has several powerful properties in helping to manage dry skin. Moisturises skin: Oat proteins leave a protective barrier on the skin, which prevents water loss to help maintain moisture. Cleanses dry skin: Oatmeal milled into an ultra-fine powder will adhere to dirt and oil on the skins surface, which can then be gently rinsed away, helping to cleanse and relieve dry skin. Soothes dry, irritated skin: Colloidal oatmeal combined with skin protectors has been proven to relieve dry skin and associated itching.
