Treatment of nicotine dependence,and for the relief of withdrawal symptoms associated with smoking cessation. Nicorette Gum 2mg is suitable for those smoking 20 cigarettes or less a day.
Adults: Chew 1 piece slowly when you feel the urge to smoke. Use the Nicorette Chewing Technique: 1. Chew slowly until the taste becomes strong 2. Rest between gum and cheek 3. Chew again when taste has faded Maximum 15 pieces in 24 hours. After 3 months gradually withdraw use. See pack leaflet for further information. Children: Not to be given. Also available in mint flavour.

Nausea, vomiting or indigestion are possible as are dizziness, headache, decreased saliva and influenza like symptoms. Less frequently palpitations can occur.
Under 12 years: not to be used. Should not be used by anyone with severe cardiovascular disease or in pregnancy or lactation. NOTE: Nicotine products should not be used concurrently with other nicotine containing products, including cigarettes. Users should always refer to the Patient Information leaflet.
