Adcortyl in Orabase contains Triamcinolone acetonide, which belongs to a group of medicines called steroids which are used to reduce inflammation. this active ingredient is contained in a paste which will stick to the wet surfaces of the mouth and form a protective film over your mouth ulcer.
Adults and Children: Apply to the affected area at bedtime and if required 2-3 times a day.
Do not use more than 4 times in 24 hours.
Do not use for more than 5 days.
Triamcinolone acetonide 0.1% w/w in an oromucosal paste.
Do not take if:
- You have tuberculosis (TB) of the skin,
- You have a viral infection especially chickenpox, cowpox or cold sores,
- You have any fungal or bacterial infection of the skin,
- You are diabetic or have a stomach ulcer.
