Flixonase Allergy Nasal Spray
For the prevention and treatment of allergic rhinitis, caused by hayfever or other airborn allergies.
When administered into the nose, Flixonase is absorbed into the cells of the nasal passages. Here it works by stopping the cells from releasing the chemicals that cause the allergic response. This stops the allergic reaction from triggering so the nasal inflammation is reduced and the symptoms relieved.
Flixonase Allergy Nasal Spray works to help relieve allergy symptoms for up to 24 hours and helps prevent the return of symptoms during the day. Flixonase Allergy nasal spray offers effective relief from sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, itchy and runny nose, nasal congestion and associated sinus discomfort. Flixonase also protects from all major airbourne allergies including hayfever, pet hair, dust mites and mould spores.
Shake gently before use. Use only in the nose. Adults aged 18 years and over: 2 sprays in each nostril, once a day. If symptoms are especially bad 2 sprays in each nostril may be used twice a day. Once symptoms improve, go back to the usual dose. Do not use more than 4 sprays in each nostril per day. Once symptoms are under control a maintenance dose of one spray per nostril once a day may be used.
Flixonase Allergy Nasal Spray is an aqueous spray containing 0.05% w/w fluticasone propionate (50 micrograms per spray).
Local side effects include dryness, irritation of the nose and throat. Nosebleeds, smell and taste disturbances may also occur.
